VERONICA HAYES
VOCALIST | SONGWRITER
Gospel singer and a Ruleville, Mississippi native Veronica Hayes was drawn to music and singing at an early age, and in time she developed a vocal style that merged traditional gospel with jazz and R&B influences like Chaka Kahn , Diane Reeves ,Kelly Price and Ledisi. She honed her singing abilities by participating with her grandmother in her local church and drew inspiration from the late, great Mrs. Fannie Lou Hamer.
After moving to Georgia, she began auditioning and recording with choirs and solo artists such as the New Birth Chorale, under the direction of the King of Praise, Byron Cage, Atlanta Super Choir, New Season, Alvin Slaughter, Candi Staton and also performing on stage with artists such as Ledisi, Byron Cage, Anthony Hamilton, Troy Sneed, Joshua Rogers, Kathy Taylor and Demetria Moore just to name a few. In theatre, she had the honor of performing with Galaxy Music Theatre for the Handel’s Messiah, “A Soulful Celebration” in 2008.
Veronica knows that her singing ability is a gift from God and counts it a blessing and a privilege that she is allowed to share her gift with the world!
